Congratulations to Ocean Springs alum Avery Weed, soon to be Mississippi State freshman, who just won the Mississippi Women’s State Amateur Championship.

Weed, a former News 25 Student Athlete of the Week, shooting 11-under par, also taking home low round medalist and junior medalist trophy.
