MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – Saturday, March 9th , was NASA Day at the Mississippi Children’s Museum in Meridian.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the Children’s Museum welcomed families to join them as they ventured into space.

Many exhibitors and community members stopped by to provide an interactive learning experience through many games and special equipment that is used by real professionals.

There was something for everyone in a fun learning experience that was out of this world.

“So today is NASA day, and we have a lot of people from the community here that are coming out to help support this. We have aviators from NAS. We have MSU composites that are here. We have Paige Anderson, who is a NASA ambassador. So, we’ve just got lots of NASA oriented things going on. Everything that goes into the sky we are learning about today, whether it’s planets or airplanes or rockets, we’ve got a lot of fun activities going on.” said program assistant Melinda Goff.

This Monday will be a big day at MCM Meridian as they kick off their weeklong event STEAM Break.
