The previous Iowa receiver is about to go to Mississippi State this weekend as 1 of a number of faculties on his switch portal checklist. Bruce elected to switch from the Hawkeyes after a 7-5 season.

Bruce, a former four-star recruit from the 2021 recruiting cycle, tallied 44 catches for 396 yards and a pair of touchdowns, along with 22 rushes for 112 yards and 4 touchdowns on the bottom over 2 seasons in Iowa Metropolis. He additionally served as Iowa’s prime punt returner this season, returning 19 punts for 123 yards.

It’s unclear if the Air Raid system will stay intact following the promotion of defensive coordinator Zach Arnett to go coach following Leach’s passing.
