STARKVILLE — Week 2 has arrived, which means a tougher test awaits Mississippi State football. The Bulldogs welcome Pac-12 foe Arizona to Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday as part of an exciting slate of nonconference games for the SEC.

MSU, led by first-year coach Zach Arnett, won the first half of the home-and-home series last season 39-17 at Arizona, but it is going into Saturday as single-digit favorites.

The Wildcats opened the season with a 38-3 win against Northern Arizona, adding to the Pac-12’s perfect 13-0 start. Mississippi State won 48-7 against FCS team Southeastern Louisiana in Week 1, starting off Arnett’s first regular season as head coach in strong fashion.
