The Mississippi Division of Archives and Historical past (MDAH) has introduced the return of Mississippi Makers Fest to the Two Mississippi Museums for a second 12 months.
After a profitable first 12 months, the competition is seeking to repeat that success by bringing again the music and meals on Might 13, 2023.
“Our purpose was to create an occasion that celebrated makers of every kind in Mississippi, and this 12 months’s competition did simply that,” MDAH Director Katie Blount mentioned, including that she expects a much bigger turnout in 2023.
Southern Beverage Firm, which began in Jackson in 1939, was the sponsor of the primary Mississippi Makers Fest. In line with President and CEO Theo P. Costas, Southern Beverage Co., Inc. will proceed its partnership with MDAH into 2023.
“It means so much to have the ability to sponsor an occasion in Jackson that’s devoted to celebrating Mississippi’s creativity and innovation,” Costas mentioned.
