A Mississippi coast man has been charged with felony DUI after police say he struck and injured two pedestrians while driving on Old Shell Road Tuesday afternoon.
According to Mobile police, 36-year-old Joshua M. Robison of Ocean Springs, Miss., was driving westbound on Old Shell shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday when his vehicle left the roadway and struck two people on the shoulder of the road changing a tire.
The two pedestrians were taken to a hospital with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers responding to the scene said Robison appeared to be under the influence.
He was taken into custody and charged with felony DUI, possession of a controlled substance and having no vehicle tag. As of early Wednesday afternoon, Robison remained in Mobile Metro Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
