Former UK commit DeCarlos Nicholson will visit the Wildcats
The Kentucky Wildcats are welcoming a host of transfer visitors this weekend, and a new name has been added to the list.
According to Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports, Mississippi State defensive-back transfer DeCarlos Nicholson will be visiting Lexington this weekend.
A 6-foot-3 and 195-pound DB from Petal (MS), Nicholson spent two seasons in Starkville, where he totaled 47 tackles and three pass deflections for the Bulldogs.
His name should be very familiar to the BBN, as he originally committed to Kentucky out of the JUCO ranks in the class of 2022, but he eventually decommitted and headed to play for his home-state Bulldogs instead.
With Andru Phillips headed to the draft, the Kentucky defense has a need to add some depth to the cornerback position. Nicholson would bring some much-valued SEC experience, as the Cat schedule in 2024 will be a grind against some of the league’s best offenses.
Keep a close eye on this one. Seems like we could be on commitment watch this weekend.
