Dice shooting: Mississippi man fatally shot, 6 others wounded over game

YAZOO COUNTY, Miss. — One man was fatally shot and 6 different individuals had been wounded after gunfire broke out throughout a cube recreation Saturday, authorities mentioned.

In keeping with Yazoo County Sheriff Jake Sheriff, deputies responded after receiving a name at about 12:41 a.m. CST, WJTV reported. The cube recreation was being performed in entrance of a bonfire Wells Place Farm, in accordance with WLBT-TV.

Medical Examiner Ricky Shivers advised WJTV that Christopher Turnage, 27, of Yazoo County, was shot and flown to the College of Mississippi Medical Heart in Jackson. He later died from his accidents, in accordance with the tv station.

Additionally shot was Amanda Gatlin, 41, of Hinds County, who was in essential situation after struggling a wound to the pinnacle; Latasha Washington, 44, was shot within the left hip; Jabarious Smith, 23, of Humphreys County, was shot within the left arm; Latasha Gordon, 38, of Yazoo County, was shot within the left hand; Billy Barton was shot within the left shoulder; and Cornelius Scott, 35, of Mound Bayou, was shot within the left aspect.

No arrests have been made and there aren’t any suspects, Sheriff mentioned. An investigation is ongoing.
