A body believed to be a barge worker who went missing over the weekend was found in the Mississippi River in Jefferson Parish Monday afternoon, according to Port of New Orleans officials.

Darrel Roberson, 55, was first reported missing at around 3 a.m. Saturday, according to the Coast Guard. Roberson was last seen in blue coveralls working on barge in the river near the Huey P. Long Bridge, Coast Guard officials said.

The Coast Guard launched a search that morning, which was suspended about 10 hours later after rescue crews covered more than 20 miles downriver and about 164 square nautical miles.
