Zoo Miami closed amid Tropical Storm Warning
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Zoo Miami can be closed Friday and Saturday after a Tropical Storm Warning was issued for all of South Florida.
Zoo Miami’s Ron Magill mentioned the zoo must be closed to guests in order that workers members “can correctly put together the power for the approaching climate.”

The zoo is anticipated to reopen Sunday.

Throughout that storm, staff mentioned the harm was restricted to fallen bushes, fencing and landscaping.
However in 1992, Hurricane Andrew brought about much more harm to the zoo, devastating a lot of it.
