Titans opening odds: Tennessee opens as a 12.5 underdog in Miami
If this isn’t rock bottom for the Tennessee Titans I’d hate to see where rock bottom is. They opened as a 12.5 underdog against the Miami Dolphins over at DraftKings Sportsbook. Double-digit spreads are fairly rare in the NFL. The thing about this one is that 12.5 is probably not enough.
It’s hard to imagine a world where the Titans get within three touchdowns of the Dolphins -especially when you consider who they might be missing in this game. Derrick Henry was being evaluated for a concussion this afternoon. If he does have a concussion, the odds of him playing in this game are extremely low. That means you should go pick up Tyjae Spears in every fantasy league you are in.
Jeffery Simmons didn’t finish the game against the Indianapolis Colts because of a knee injury. All we know at this point is that it is not season-ending, but it seems like a long shot that he will be able to go on Monday.
The Titans will also probably be without Ryan Stonehouse who also left the loss to the Colts with an injury. I haven’t seen a report on what the injury is yet, but the broadcast didn’t show the replay because it looked rough. They will have to sign a punter this week.
I’d love to have some hope here, but I just can’t find anywhere on the field where the Titans won’t be drastically overmatched.
