Police: Driver wanted for hitting 2 pedestrians in Brickell then leaving scene arrested
MIAMI, Fla. – The driving force who police say crashed into two males strolling close to Brickell Metropolis Heart final December is below arrest.
Miami Dade Police mentioned Ameko Anton Jacques, 23, was in an SUV when he crashed into two males exterior of the Brickell Metropolis Heart close to South Miami Avenue and Seventh Road on Dec. 18, 2021.
Surveillance video captured the scene when Jacques jumped the curb and crashed into the pedestrians.
He’s charged with 2 counts every of leaving the scene of a crash involving critical bodily harm and reckless driving involving critical bodily accidents.
Jacques was arrested by the Broward County Sheriff’s Workplace and is within the Broward Jail awaiting switch to Miami-Dade.
