NFL free agent large receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was faraway from a Los Angeles-bound American Airways flight Sunday morning at Miami Worldwide Airport after refusing to adjust to security protocol, in line with a press release from the Miami-Dade Police Division.

In a press release obtained by CNN affiliate WVSN, Miami-Dade police mentioned officers had been dispatched when the American Airways flight crew was involved for Beckham’s well-being after he wouldn’t adjust to requests to lock his seatbelt.

Crew members mentioned Beckham “seemed to be coming out and in of consciousness,” in line with police, who mentioned they had been initially referred to as to the aircraft for a “medical emergency.”

Beckham refused to exit the aircraft when police and hearth officers arrived, police mentioned.

In response to police, the plane was then deplaned. Beckham then complied with out incident to officers’ requests to exit the aircraft.

“American Airways flight 1228, with service from Miami (MIA) to Los Angeles (LAX), returned to the gate earlier than takeoff because of a buyer failing to comply with crew member directions and refusing to lock their seatbelt. The client was eliminated, and the flight re-departed at 10:54 a.m. native time,” American Airways mentioned in a press release obtained by CNN.
