Man attempts to kidnap woman outside hospital before trying to kidnap teen in South Miami, police say

SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. – The same man who tried to kidnap a 16-year-old girl last week in South Miami had attempted to kidnap a 38-year-old woman about 35 minutes before nearby.
According to Sgt. Fernando Bosch, a South Miami Police Department spokesman, surveillance video shows Brian Gamboa attacking a woman at 10:50 p.m., on Wednesday.
The woman was outside South Miami Hospital where there were security guards, police said.
“She ran to an office where the doctor came out and he got spooked and he left,” Bosch said.
After his kidnapping attempt failed, Bosch said Gamboa drove to the Sunset Tavern where he was involved in a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot while driving with a suspended license.
“He tries to park his car, hits another car, and flees the scene,” Bosch said.
Gamboa then went on to try to abduct the teenage girl who fought back at 11:15 p.m., on Wednesday, along Southwest 86 Street, near 62 Avenue, in South Miami, police said.
“I was on the phone with my friends walking and then a car pulled up, 10 feet in front of me, and then some guy came out and tried to grab me,” the victim, who suffered cuts, and bruises, told Local 10 News.
According to the arrest report, the teenage girl reported Gamboa reeked of alcohol. Bosch said several witnesses did not intervene or call police.
Gamboa, who is from the Brox, New York, is facing two counts of kidnapping and two counts of battery. His next hearing is Friday.

How a Suspect Forced An Undercover Miami Cop To Do Something Extremely Dangerous Or Be Killed

Florida police are glad to have back an undercover agent they sent to track down a suspected drug dealer; they are happy he’s back because the mission put the office in a sticky situation that nearly cost his life.
Let us explain. The agent was sent to find Randall Holloman at a home in Miami’s Model City neighborhood, per Local 10 News. Holloman had three prior convictions in Miami-Dade County for various offenses, including carrying a concealed weapon and burglary. Once the agent approached his door, the report says he asked him for $40 worth of fentanyl.
However, Holloman immediately got suspicious and asked, “Who sent you here?”
Police say the agent stayed in character and was ordered to go to the back of the house. That is when things took a turn. Police say Holloman gave the agent an impossible ultimatum.
“Alright, you gonna smoke, you gonna die. You gonna smoke or I’m gonna kill you either way,” Holloman is reported to have told the agent. He then beckoned the agent to walk inside the house. Police say the cop complied in fear.
Once inside, the arrest report says Holloman took out a piece of aluminum foil and a sandwich bag believed to contain fentanyl. Police reported the agent was force to smoke it. As that happened, another individual suspicious of the cop took his bag and searched it.
Eventually, the agent was kicked out of the home. Detectives brought him to the Miami Police Department’s Central Station where the agent was “cleared” by fire rescue personnel.
As a result of the risky mission, Local 10’s report says authorities were able to secure a search warrant. A narcotics unit was deployed to the Holloman’s location with a SWAT team where they found a loaded Glock 17, a loaded Zastava arms AK-style pistol with a magazine, ammunition and cocaine.
Police said they arrested Holloman on charges of kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, selling cocaine, robbery by sudden snatching and attempted manslaughter.

Miami Baseball: Canes sweep Princeton after Giroux gets win in first start
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami baseball team (6-1) took game two of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Princeton Tigers (0-3), 15-1.
Right-handed pitcher Alex Giroux (1-0) notched his first win in his first start as a Hurricane as the Hawaii transfer pitched six innings, striking out five and surrendering a lone run that didn’t come until the sixth.
Giroux was highly efficient in his Miami opener, throwing 55 out of 80 pitches for strikes.
Miami started the game right where they left off from game one, scoring 10 runs in three innings.
The offensive barrage was led by Daniel Cuvet, who blasted his first home run of the season, a two-run shot that went 389 feet to right-center. Cuvet ended the evening 4-for-5 at the plate with three RBI.
The Hurricanes reignited in the sixth and seventh, taking full advantage of Princeton’s two errors that helped paved the way for five more runs.
Miami will look to finish the sweep over the Tigers Sunday at Mark Light Field at Alex Rodriguez Park, with the first pitch slated for 1 p.m.
