Dolphins-Bills Week 15 Five Biggest Storylines

The Miami Dolphins will look to enhance to 9-5 on the season after they face the Buffalo Payments at Highmark Stadium on Saturday evening.

Forward of the matchup, we provide our weekly rating and evaluation of the 5 largest storylines:

1. Watching the Climate

For those who discuss to people in Buffalo, they will inform you the extraordinary South Florida warmth was an element when the Dolphins defeated the Payments at Laborious Rock Stadium in September, however now it is their flip to get climate circumstances with which they’re extra accustomed. We grew to become acquainted this week with the time period “lake impact snow” and the likelihood is that we may have blizzard-like circumstances which might be going to make for fairly TV viewing however perhaps not optimum soccer. And, sure, this recreation may come all the way down to which staff handles the component higher. Or perhaps Highmark Stadium might be spared heavy snow and will probably be simply one other December recreation in Buffalo.

2. Can the Dolphins Get the Passing Sport Again on Monitor?

The climate circumstances won’t make this straightforward, however the Dolphins have to get extra constant manufacturing out of their passing recreation after the 2 disappointing performances in opposition to the 49ers and Chargers. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was off the mark in opposition to San Francisco and appeared to attempt to drive too many passes downfield in opposition to L.A., so perhaps climate circumstances forcing each groups to throw shorter passes would not be the worst factor for the Dolphins.

3. Defending Tua

It is in all probability a very good factor that no reporter introduced this up throughout Tua Tagovailoa’s media session this week as a result of it will have introduced again dangerous reminiscences, however dealing with the Payments actually has been painful for him. In his final three begins in opposition to Buffalo, Tua sustained damaged ribs after being drilled by A.J. Epenesa, he sustained an harm to his throwing hand within the Halloween 2021 recreation, and we needn’t remind Dolphins followers in regards to the Matt Milano hit and its aftermath through the Week 3 recreation this season. The Payments do not have Von Miller anymore this season, however their move rush actually hasn’t dipped very a lot since he was injured. If the Dolphins are going to have success on offense, they should defend their quarterback.

4. Highlight on the Particular Groups

Looks like we spotlight the particular groups each week on this spot, but it surely could possibly be significantly vital in a recreation the place wind and snow could possibly be an element. Punter Thomas Morstead had one of many largest performs of the sport within the Week 3 assembly along with his unbelievable free kick after the “butt punt,” and it’d take extra huge performs from the kicking recreation for the Dolphins to tug off the upset.

5. The Dolphins protection vs. Josh Allen

The Dolphins are coming off a recreation the place Chargers QB Justin Herbert was the perfect participant on the sector, however the protection on the very least did not make it straightforward on him with fixed strain that flushed him out of the pocket and made him make the robust throws. The Dolphins want that very same form of effort in opposition to Josh Allen, who has been actually robust on him since getting into the league in 2018. It is also essential to recollect the Dolphins shut down Allen at Highmark Stadium within the first half of final season, however the protection wasn’t in a position to take benefit and the outcome was a 3-3 halftime rating earlier than the Payments went on to a 26-11 victory. Laborious because it is likely to be, the Dolphins want that form of effort for the total recreation.
