Over $24 million in grant funding announced to aid Maryland businesses

BALTIMORE – Governor Hogan introduced $24.5 million in grants Wednesday for state companies.  

The grant funding is supplied by way of an initiative generally known as Venture Restore, which goals to help within the nation’s financial restoration.

The $24.5 million, which incorporates $8.8 million in property help grants, and 15.7 million in enterprise operations grants, will probably be distributed amongst 375 companies.

This program’s purpose is to encourage native corporations to occupy deserted storefronts and workplace buildings by providing renovation grants.

“Venture Restore has been an unimaginable success in advancing our mission to make Maryland Open For Enterprise, and at present’s awards lengthen that influence even additional in downtowns and on Primary Streets throughout the state,” the Governor stated Wednesday.  

The governor stated this spherical of grant funding will create roughly 2,520 jobs, and can assist minority owned companies.
