MS-13 gang member arrested for murder of 20-year-old Maryland woman with autism

Police in Maryland introduced they arrested an unlawful immigrant teen and suspected MS-13 gang member for the killing of an autistic 20-year-old girl over the summer season. 

“It’s been for me, many sleepless nights … I by no means thought I’d take this journey on dropping my daughter in such a horrific approach and so quickly,” Tammy Nobles, the mom of Kayla Hamilton, instructed WMAR-TV in Baltimore. “Once I discovered that it was a juvenile, I used to be shocked. Police in Aberdeen, positioned in northeastern Maryland about 30 miles from Baltimore, introduced they arrested an unnamed 17-year-old boy for allegedly strangling 20-year-old Hamilton to demise in July.

Police mentioned U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed the 17-year-old El Salvador native was listed as a member of Malva Salvatrucha, often known as MS-13. Authorities had been in a position to nab the suspect after evaluating his DNA to proof from the crime scene. 

He was arrested final Sunday in Edgewood, which is about 10 miles south of Aberdeen. He’s being held with out bail on the Harford County Detention Middle.

Along with a primary diploma homicide cost, the suspect is dealing with costs of rape and theft, in response to CBS Information.

“I am her mom, I am presupposed to be there to guard her, however you’ll be able to’t shield your children once they’re adults,” Nobles added, in response to CBS. “However, I simply really feel accountable. I used to be supposed to maintain her protected.”

The Division of Justice described MS-13 as “one of many largest road gangs in the US” again in April, which operates in areas reminiscent of Frederick County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George’s County, and Montgomery County in Maryland.
