Moore transition team names policy leaders, adds to steering committee – Maryland Matters

Lt. Gov.-elect Aruna Miller (D), the pinnacle of the transition staff for Gov.-elect Wes Moore (D), introduced Thursday that the transition effort is increasing.

The transition staff is including two new steering committee members and has additionally recognized the individuals who will lead the Transition Coverage Committee. The co-chairs will lead 9 coverage committees with a complete of 208 members.

“This staff has deep experience, an unbelievable variety {of professional} and lived experiences, and a demonstrated dedication to serving all Marylanders,” Miller stated in a press release. “Their work will actualize a powerful coverage agenda that may guarantee each Marylander has the chance to thrive.”

Miller stated that Montgomery County Councilmember Will Jawando (D) and Joe Gaskins, co-chair of the Maryland Enterprise-Clergy Partnership, will be part of the transition staff’s steering committee, calling them “vital additions.”
