WARRINGTON TWP., Pa. — A 44-year-old Maryland woman has turned herself in for her role in a theft at Warrington Township Wegmans earlier this year.
According to Warrington Township Police, Kimberly Jo Smith of North East, Maryland, gave herself up Thursday in connection to the theft from the store on Sept. 7.
On that date, police said Smith and a male accomplice selected “numerous packs of razors and concealed them” in her purse.
According to police, the two thieves attempted to leave the store without paying for $359.91 worth of merchandise. But when confronted by loss prevention, police said Smith “dumped the merchandise on the ground” and fled the area before police arrived.
Upon turning herself in, Smith was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. She was processed by was processed and arraigned by Judge Stacy Wertman — who set bail at $25,000.00 unsecured, according to police.
