Maryland AMBER Alert cancelled for missing 3-year-old girl from Virginia

A Virginia baby reported as lacking late Tuesday night time has been discovered safely, Fairfax County Police introduced early Wednesday.

The kid’s non-custodial mom is in custody and expenses are pending, police mentioned.

Officers issued an AMBER Alert in Maryland final night time for Amelia Kraus, a 3-year-old lady from Fairfax County, Virginia. On the time, she was final seen in Alexandria, Virginia. Authorities later discovered her in West Virginia.

The kid was believed to be in excessive hazard, in response to the alert issued by the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Lacking Kids Clearinghouse on behalf of the Fairfax County Police Division.

In a tweet, Maryland State Police indicated Kraus might have been “taken forcibly by her non-custodial mom,” 35-year-old Catherine Kraus, who might be driving a white 2019 Subaru sedan with Virginia plate EGLSWGS or a black 2010 Volkswagen SUV.

Kraus is in custody, police mentioned.
