DNR Sponsors National Archery In The Schools Program in Maryland – Southern Maryland News Net

The Maryland Division of Pure Assets is happy to announce the Nationwide Archery within the Colleges Program (NASP) will as soon as once more be sponsored by the division’s Wildlife and Heritage Service.

NASP is an in-school archery program designed for college kids in grades 4-12. DNR launched the Maryland program in 2005 in partnership with the Maryland Bowhunters Society as a part of DNR’s instructional programming.

In 2010, DNR turned management of this system over to Lou Compton, president of the Maryland Bowhunters Affiliation and member of the Maryland Wildlife Advisory Fee.

Since 2005, NASP has reached greater than 100,000 college students all through Maryland. Compton just lately introduced his retirement.
