Calvert County Educators Recognized by the Maryland Council for Social Studies – The Southern Maryland Chronicle

Calvert County Public Faculties (CCPS) educators Jayme Pieretti and Nicole Penix have been acknowledged as excellent social research educators by the Maryland Council for Social Research (MDCSS). 

Mr. Pieretti, Huntingtown Excessive Faculty, Social Research Core Lead and Authorities trainer was acknowledged because the Secondary Social Research Trainer of the Yr.  His dedication to understanding learner variability and assembly the wants of all his learners.  Jayme’s work with Common Design for Studying and the Maryland Writers Challenge is among the many skilled studying experiences that allow him to be an important trainer and an important tutorial chief as effectively.  In response to MDCSS president Kim Eggborn, “Mr. Pieretti is an excellent educator and immensely deserving of this honor.”

Ms. Penix was named Excellent Social Research Tutorial Chief.  As a first-year CCPS Social Research Studying Specialist, Nicole is devoted to studying each the elementary social research framework and the English Language Arts (ELA) literacy requirements.  She turned acquainted with ELA supplies of instruction and recognized connections with social research content material.  At the moment, she is writing social research curriculum for grades 1-4 to make sure that academics could have a high quality curriculum and new assets for the 2022-23 faculty yr.  Ms. Eggborn shared, “Ms. Penix is doing in a single yr what usually takes districts a number of years to finish.  Clearly, her work ethic and dedication are extraordinary.”
