Plaquemines Seafood Fest scheduled in Belle Chasse with food, rides, more

Have fun seafood and luxuriate in some basic south Louisiana enjoyable on the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Pageant April 28-30.

Catherine Blondiau, reigning Seafood Pageant queen, rode within the Event of Roses Parade Jan. 2 on the Louisiana tourism float. She’s going to relinquish her crown in Might, after the pageant.




The Belle Chasse occasion options Louisiana meals (particularly seafood), music, crafts, carnival rides, a children’ tent, a 5K race and a pageant.

The pageant is open 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. April 28, 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. April 29 and 11:30 a.m. to eight:30 p.m. April 30.

Leisure for the pageant contains Groovy R, Electrical Ramble, R&R Smokin’ Basis, Supercharger, BC Boyz, Religion Becnel and Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. and the Zydeco Twisters.

Admission is free April 28, and $5 per day on April 29-30, money solely. Armbands for carnival rides start at $25. 

Pageant grounds are at 333 F. Edward Hebert Blvd., Belle Chasse.
