Miss Louisiana Takes center stage as Pineville’s Grand Marshal

Pineville, La. (KALB)– In a dazzling celebration that brought together glamour, community pride and a touch of southern charm, Miss Louisiana took the spotlight as grand marshal for Pineville’s Night of Lights parade at Thursday evening’s reception.

There was an air of anticipation at the Main Street Community Center before the event kicked off at 7 pm, as Pineville residents and visitors gathered to honor Miss Louisiana in her prestigious role before Friday’s parade.

The event not only showcased the charisma of Miss Louisiana but also served as platform for the community to come together and celebrate.

“I’m just so grateful to have this opportunity to be the grand marshal and be able to represent this parade. Mardi Gras is such a fun time, so being able to celebrate at night, with all the lights is going to be so fun.” said Miss Louisiana, Grand Marshal Makenzie Scroggs.

Miss Louisiana hopes her participation in events like this will inspire young people to just be themselves.
