MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The Catholic Charities of North Louisiana hosted their annual “Bingo on the Delta” fundraiser at Tower Place on May 2.

During the event, people were able to play several rounds of bingo and won prizes during the raffle.

The Catholic Charities of North Louisiana is a non-profit organization that helps area low-income families be able to pay their rent and utility bills along with other services to prevent homelessness and hunger.

All ticket sales and proceeds go toward the organization to be able to continue their operations to serve those in the area who need it most.

Kirsten Gladen, regional manager for the organization, explained why this event is important.

“It is a way that we not only highlight our community partnerships, but also people in the community that deem it necessary to give back to the community,” said Gladen.

Some of the prizes included LSU football tickets, jewelry, makeovers and more.
