The college baseball camp circuit is an integral part of the recruiting process. It’s often the first place that a coaching staff and a player become familiar with each other and it typically serves as a jumping-off point for the player to be recruited by the program.
As Tyler Bell, then a high school freshman at Illinois high school sports powerhouse Lincoln-Way East High, began his journey as a recruit, his first stop was a camp at the University of Kentucky. You could say it was love at first sight.
