Missing teenage girl from Kentucky found alive in Montgomery County
A 13-year-old girl who went missing in Kentucky in October was found alive in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Friday, the Montgomery County Police Department said.
That teenage girl, Wynter Wagoner, was last seen on Oct. 14, in Orlando, Kentucky. Rockcastle County Sheriff Shannon Franklin confirmed that Wagoner was kidnapped.
On Friday, Dec. 26, Montgomery County police received a tip that Wagoner might be in a home in Silver Spring, Maryland. No information about the investigation or where the tip came from has been shared.
Officers were sent to a house in the 12000 block of Dalewood Drive just before 6 p.m. on Friday. Those officers and the U.S. Marshals working with them found Wagoner inside, along with 37-year-old Christian Alexander Delgado.
Wagoner was taken to a hospital for evaluation, Montgomery County police said. Authorities say she was found safe, but her exact condition is unclear.
Delgado was arrested by Montgomery County officers. Rockcastle County police have a warrant for Delgado’s arrest, charging him with kidnapping.
Delgado is being held in Montgomery County jail while he awaits extradition back to Kentucky.
Wagoner’s father shared a statement with WLEX, the NBC affiliate station in Lexington, Kentucky.
“Wynter has been found. She is safe and that’s about all the information we can give at this time,” Wagoner said to WLEX. “It’s very, very new — it just happened so the details are not clear at the moment. I don’t want to give any misinformation (and) I hope you understand… I do also want to say thank you for all the efforts in trying to find my daughter and all the prayers for her safety. We do truly appreciate it and are so thankful she’s OK.”

Body found in Ohio River in northeast Kentucky ID’d as Columbus man
Top headlines of the week, May 8 2026
Here are some stories you may have missed this week in central Ohio.
Authorities said a body recovered May 4 from the Ohio River in northeast Kentucky has been identified as a Columbus man, Dispatch news partner NBC4/WMCH-TV reported.
Lewis County Sheriff Johnny Bivens said the body has been identified as Jason D. Frisbie, 38, of Columbus. Bivens said authorities in Kentucky worked with Ohio officials to identify Frisbie this week.
Bivens said Lewis County took a call around 4:30 p.m. May 4 about a body in the river in Vanceburg, Kentucky, a few miles south of Ohio’s Shawnee State Park. Bivens said responding agencies took the body to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office.
Lewis County authorities asked for public help identifying the body. On May 9, Bivens confirmed Frisbie’s identity after working with Ohio officials and local responders.
Bivens said the death remains under investigation, and authorities did not offer information about a suspected cause.
