Kentucky State Police investigate double fatality collision in Knox Co.
KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) – At roughly 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, Kentucky State Police (KSP) in Harlan responded to a name of a three-vehicle collision in Knox County.
Preliminary investigations into the collision revealed Fredrick Cody Carnes, 23, of Pineville, and a 16-year-old male from Girdler had been driving in reverse instructions on U.S. Freeway 25 and a head-on collision occurred.
Knox County Coroner Mike Blevins confirmed Carnes and the 16-year-old had been each killed within the collision.
The 16-year-old driver had a 17-year-old feminine passenger who was transported to the College of Tennessee Medical Middle for her accidents and KSP officers have confirmed the extent of her accidents are unknown presently.
A 3rd car, pushed by 41-year-old Steven Cox was additionally touring reverse Carnes and collided with the car pushed by the 16-year-old whereas trying to keep away from the collision. Cox was unhurt.
