Kentucky officials award $2.8M in transportation funding
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky officers have awarded $2.8 million in transportation funding for 27 initiatives in 16 counties and 4 cities throughout the state.
Most municipalities plan to make use of the funding to resurface deteriorating roads, however initiatives in Anderson, Edmonson and Hickman counties will assist financial improvement, Gov. Andy Beshear stated Thursday in a press release asserting the funds.
The initiatives “assist much-needed repairs and economy-boosting infrastructure upgrades,” Beshear stated.
