Kentucky man sentenced in $1.3M COVID-relief fund scheme – WNKY News 40 Television
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A Kentucky man has been sentenced to greater than three years in federal jail for fraudulently acquiring $1.3 million in pandemic small enterprise loans. Federal authorities say he used among the funds to repay playing money owed. Randall “Rocky” Blankenship, of Versailles, was sentenced to 42 months on Thursday. A plea settlement say the 49-year-old Blankenship submitted fraudulent functions in April 2020 for 4 enterprise. The pandemic reduction funds had been offered underneath the Paycheck Safety Program, a part of a federal reduction package deal in 2020. The U.S. Lawyer’s workplace says Blankenship has repaid the stolen funds in full.
