Questionable in the initial SEC Availability Report released Friday evening, Kentucky forward Andrew Carr has been downgraded to OUT in Nashville when the Wildcats take on Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Dealing with a lingering back issue, the 6-11 fifth-year senior has been on four consecutive injury reports dating back to the win at Mississippi State on January 11. This will end his streak at three games fighting through to play, listed as out on the final report ahead of tip-off.

Point guard Lamont Butler, who was a game-time decision vs. No. 4 Alabama last week due to a shoulder injury before ultimately giving it a go, was not included on Friday’s report and will play against the Commodores. He’s coming off a 17-point, eight-assist effort against the Crimson Tide.

Fifth-year guard Kerr Kriisa, who underwent surgery after suffering a broken foot on December 7, remains out for the Wildcats, as well.

Vanderbilt enters the matchup with a (mostly) clean bill of health with the exception of fifth-year guard Alex Hemenway, a Clemson transfer who has not played all season due to injury. He will not play, as expected.

The SEC’s basketball policy states that players must be listed as “out” (0% chance to play), “doubtful” (25% chance to play), “questionable” (50% chance to play), or “probable” (75% chance to play) in the first report on the night before conference games. On the final report released before tip-off, players will be designated as “available,” “game-time decision” or “out” in an effort to provide additional clarity.
