Kentucky Fish and Wildlife asking people to donate Christmas trees to provide habitats for fish
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – The Kentucky Division of Fish and Wildlife Assets is asking folks to donate their pure Christmas bushes for his or her Christmas for the Fishes tree recycling program.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is accepting evergreen bushes at greater than 30 drop-off areas throughout the state from Dec. 26 by means of Jan. 15.
They are saying the donated bushes shall be anchored to environment-friendly weights and submerged at varied depths in several lakes and reservoirs throughout Kentucky. They are saying the tree will present locations for fish to feed, shelter and spawn.
They won’t settle for synthetic bushes, limbs, wreaths, brushes or different vegetation. Additionally they say the bushes ought to be freed from lights, garland and decorations.
