6 Georgia College Presidents Receive $5K Pay Bump | Inside Higher Ed

Presidents at six public universities in Georgia, already on the highest wage ranges, will obtain a $5,000 increase after the state Board of Regents accepted the transfer at a gathering Tuesday.

The six presidents in line for a $5,000 pay bump are Brooks Keel at Augusta College, who at present makes $1.2 million; Ángel Cabrera on the Georgia Institute of Know-how, who earns $980,000; M. Brian Blake at Georgia State College, who has a wage of $955,000; Jere Morehead on the College of Georgia, who makes $916,729; and Kyle Marrero at Georgia Southern College and Kathy Schwaig at Kennesaw State College, every of whom command an annual wage of $490,000, in response to reporting in The Atlanta Journal-Structure.

Most raises go into impact July 1, the newspaper reported, and embrace deferred compensation. Presidents on the helm of faculties within the state college system didn’t obtain raises the final two years due to the monetary influence of the coronavirus pandemic.
