2 Georgia hospitals fined for not publicly disclosing prices

ATLANTA (AP) — Federal officers have fined two Georgia hospitals greater than $1 million for failing to fulfill new necessities to publicly disclose their prices.

The Facilities for Medicare and Medicaid Companies mentioned Friday Northside Hospital Atlanta and Northside Hospital Cherokee are the primary two hospitals within the nation to face financial penalties beneath the foundations that went into impact final 12 months.

CMS issued the fines this week — $883,000 for Northside Atlanta and $214,000 for Northside Cherokee.

An electronic mail to Northside was not instantly returned.
