Florida man accused of smuggling 3 illegal immigrants for work

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A Florida man has been arrested in Santa Rosa County after allegedly smuggling three folks into the nation illegally.

The Florida Freeway Patrol experiences Fermin Morataya-Monzon, 30, was arrested after a site visitors cease on I-10 close to mile marker 26 in Santa Rosa County on Thursday. Troopers mentioned through the investigation, that they discovered three folks in Morataya-Monzon’s automobile who have been within the nation illegally. FHP officers mentioned they have been being transported from Houston, Texas to Key Largo. FHP officers mentioned that Morataya-Monzon admitted that he was being paid to smuggle them into the U.S. for work.

The investigating Trooper contacted each the Division of Homeland Safety in addition to United States Border Patrol. FHP officers mentioned the case is being forwarded to the Division of Homeland Safety for any follow-up investigation. Morataya-Monzon has been arrested and is being charged with three counts of human smuggling.
