Florida deputy scales flaming building to save toddler

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida deputy risked his personal life Saturday when he scaled a number of balconies to rescue a toddler from a burning Orange County condominium constructing.

Deputies responded to the Isles of East Millenia flats early Saturday morning and located a three-story condominium constructing on fireplace. As authorities evacuated residents from their flats, they noticed a toddler and her mom on a third-floor balcony with flames coming from the condominium.

Deputy William Puzynski wasted no time as he dropped his ballistic vest and physique digicam and started to scale the outside of the constructing to get to a 1-year-old lady on the third flooring.

“Hand me the child, hand me the child. We’re coming,” Puzynski stated as he positioned himself on the banister of the second-floor balcony.

The girl prolonged the crying child to him.

“Please, come get me,” she pleaded afterward.

As soon as the 1-year-old lady was safely lowered to a different deputy who was ready on the bottom, fireplace rescuers introduced the mom and grandmother down by ladder.

“There have been no casualties within the fireplace and no deputies have been injured,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Workplace stated in a Fb publish. “Simply earlier than climbing up the constructing, Deputy Puzynski took off his outer ballistic vest, which his digicam is connected to.
