On Thursday, the West Facet Little League Juniors Baseball event crew — the Hawks — received their opener within the Jap Regionals in opposition to Delaware by a whopping 24-7. The Regionals are being performed in Freehold, New Jersey, at Mary J. Tighe Park. The Hawks’ supervisor, Jim Glasgow, despatched the next post-game report from the sphere.

“We performed Brandywine Little League. We had 27 hits and 22 RBIs with 24 runs scored. Our protection was glorious and our pitching, together with Xavier Lehmann, Brian Stone, Tyler McCarthy, Bennett Harrison and Toby Carmel, saved the BW LL to 7 runs. WS Hawks play Torrington LL, the Connecticut State Champs, Friday morning at 9 am.

That is the primary time within the league’s 36-year historical past that one among its groups has received a state championship and superior to the regionals.
