FOUNTAIN HILL, Pa. — A small cooking fire led to the closure of Delaware Avenue in Fountain Hill Borough, Lehigh County, on Sunday afternoon.
According to Fountain Hill Police Officer Richmon Penn, a resident in the 900 block of North Delaware Avenue left their building with a pot cooking on the stove inside. This activated a smoke alarm, Penn said.
A 69 News employee near the scene observed multiple police and fire vehicles blocking the road around 1:15 p.m.
The scene was cleared by mid-afternoon and no one was injured, Penn said.
