A person was pulled from the Delaware River by a rescue crew on Friday after witnesses reported that he went below the water and didn’t floor.
Fishermen noticed the person enter the water off sixth Avenue in Carneys Level Township, close to an outdated Division of Protection web site situated in neighboring Oldmans Township. When he didn’t come again up, they contacted police round 1:45 p.m., in accordance with Carneys Level Township Police Detective Cpl. Tim Haslett.
A marine rescue unit from Delaware situated the person and introduced him to shore. He was then transported to Christiana Hospital in Delaware, Haslett mentioned. The person’s situation was not referred to as of Friday afternoon.
