Boston Celtics reserve forward Grant Williams has been signed and traded from the Celtics to the Dallas Mavericks in a three-team trade also involving the San Antonio Spurs to make the restricted free agent’s trade to Dallas possible per multiple reports.

The Mavs aim to improve their defense and 3-point shooting with Williams’ addition to the roster. The Celtics are to receive multiple second round picks from Dallas on their end of the deal, as well as a traded player exception Boston could use at a later date to absorb the salary of a player or two in an asynchronous trade.

The Spurs acquire Reggie Bullock to strengthen their shooting, as well as an unrestricted Mavs 2030 first round pick swap.
