Highland Park home of ‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ star lists for $5.25 million

The Highland Park home of actress and celebrity chef D’Andra Simmons of The Real Housewives of Dallas hit the market for $5.25 million.

The five-bedroom home, at 3501 Lindenwood, with five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms was designed by local architect Marc McCollom and built by Dallas custom homebuilder Saad Chehabi in 2010.

The more than 6,000-square-foot property is across the street from Abbott Park and other green space, and just north of the shops along Knox Street.

Christine McKenny of Allie Beth Allman & Associates listed the home Oct. 12.

“It’s extremely well built,” McKenny said. “The architect did an amazing job with sight lines and bringing natural light into the home.”

Simmons joined the cast of the Dallas-set Bravo show in its second season. Bravo has not produced new episodes since 2021.

Simmons moved to a property with more acreage in Preston Hollow, according to McKenny.

McKenny said an open house for the home on Sunday had more than 25 visitors over an hour and a half. While available homes are lacking in the Park Cities, she said modern or contemporary homes are especially hard to find. The home’s elevator is also popular with potential buyers, she said.

The home was featured in the 2013 AIA Dallas Tour of Homes. The architect was responsible both for the home and the surrounding landscape, according to the AIA’s website, which said the home has a “harmonious composition between the exterior and interior environments.”

Some of the home’s architectural features highlighted by the AIA included its exposed fireplace flues, a suspended balcony and curved ceilings in two bedrooms.

“A lot of contemporary homes are choppy, but right when you open the front door, you can see right through the home to the pool and on to the backyard,” Simmons said in an article on Dallas real estate blog Candy’s Dirt in 2013, when she opened the home up for a holiday tour. “I wanted flow and openness and room to breathe.”
