Dallas Police Arrest Man in Killings of 3 Women
The police in Dallas said Wednesday that they had arrested a man who they believe killed three women whose bodies were found in a three-month span just south of downtown.
The man, Oscar Sanchez Garcia, 25, will be charged with the murders of 60-year-old Kimberly Robinson, 25-year-old Cherish Gibson and a third, unidentified woman, the Dallas Police Department said in a news release.
Ms. Robinson and Ms. Gibson were found dead in a grassy area near the same train stop, according to the Dallas County Medical Examiner. Ms. Robinson’s body was found on April 22, and Ms. Gibson’s on June 24. Both died of stab wounds to the chest, according to the medical examiner.
The body of the third victim was discovered roughly one mile away on July 15. It was unclear how she was killed.
The police said the investigation into the homicides was continuing. They said they were still investigating any connections between the three killings.
Efforts to reach a Dallas police spokesman on Wednesday evening were not immediately successful.
Mr. Sanchez Garcia’s arrest came after a week in which a man was charged in the murders of three women on Long Island after a 12-year investigation, and police in Oregon said the deaths of four women there were linked.
