A 34-year-old Dallas man was arrested Thursday after police said he sexually abused a child.

Dallas police said they received information Tuesday about a child who was sexually assaulted. An investigation identified William Beckam as the suspect, police said.

Beckam’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment. He remained in custody Friday on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, with bail set at $1.5 million, court records showed.

Police did not release any additional information about the case.
