Dallas Cowboys legend, Ring of Honor member and Pro Football Hall of Fame offensive lineman Larry Allen has passed away at the age of 52.

The Dallas Cowboys announced the news on Monday and offered a statement.

Throughout the course of his career with the team Allen was one of the very best players in the entire NFL. He is one of the most decorated offensive linemen in NFL history and one of the most gifted in terms of talent. Allen is arguably the greatest offensive lineman to ever play for the Dallas Cowboys franchise. He has long been the standard to which players are compared.

All told Allen won Super Bowl XXX with the Cowboys throughout the course of his career. He was named to numerous All-Pro teams and Pro Bowls and was a second-team member for the Hall of Fame’s 1990s and 2000s teams. He was enshrined into the team’s Ring of Honor in 2011 and into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
