2 teens shot, 1 fatally outside South Dallas apartment, police say

A teenager was fatally shot, and another was wounded outside an apartment in South Dallas on Friday night, police said.

Officers responded just before 9 p.m. to a shooting call in the 2400 block of Robert B. Cullum Boulevard, near South Second Avenue.

Police said that when officers arrived, they learned a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were wounded in a shooting outside an apartment.

The boy was found in an apartment breezeway and the girl was located in a nearby apartment, police said.

Both were taken to a local hospital, where the boy died. Due to his age, police said they would not release his identity. The girl was treated and released, police said.

Investigators determined the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.

Police said they did not have a description of a suspect and an investigation is ongoing.
