Two arrested after reports of shots fired in East Austin
AUSTIN, Texas — Two people were arrested following reports of shots fired in East Austin on Friday.
The Austin Police Department said dispatch received a call at 4:10 p.m. reporting shots fired at 7410 Johnny Morris Road. Police confirmed the incident did not occur at the Gus Garcia Young Men’s Leadership Academy.
Officers checked multiple spots in and around the school as a precautionary measure.

Two people were eventually detained in the Greenbelt.
No injuries were reported.
Police say there is no threat to the public.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
