AUSTIN, Texas – San Marcos man reached a plea deal after setting hearth to an Austin Synagogue in 2021.
Frank Sechriest pleaded responsible to each arson and a federal hate crime cost.
On Halloween night time in 2021, Sechriest was caught on surveillance video approaching the Congregation Beth Israel Synagogue with incendiary gadgets. Moments later, he was noticed leaving the church after beginning a hearth.

18-year-old Franklin Barrett Sechriest has been charged with first-degree felony arson within the hearth to the porch and entry of the Beth Israel Synagogue.
Austin firefighters arrived and rapidly put out the flames.
In keeping with investigators, Sechriest even famous the assault in a private journal, and spoke of monitoring media protection of his crime.
Sechriest faces a possible, maximun sentence of 20 years in jail. His sentencing listening to is ready for June 23.
