Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by a train in N Austin
AUSTIN, Texas — A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a train in north Austin Saturday morning.
Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the scene on West Anderson Lane near Woodrow Avenue at 11:19 a.m.

Medics took the adult patient to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
CapMetro confirmed that one of its trains was involved in the incident. A spokesperson provided the following statement:
An incident involving a CapMetro train and a pedestrian occurred today at approximately 11:00 a.m. near W. Anderson Lane. Preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian was on the train alignment, not in a crosswalk. Austin Police Department (APD), Fire Department (AFD), and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
