One dead following auto-pedestrian collision in Central Austin
AUSTIN, Texas — One person has died after being hit by a vehicle in Central Austin Thursday night.
The crash happened at around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of East 45th Street and Airport Blvd between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The Austin-Travis County EMS, Austin Fire, and Austin Police departments responded to the scene.

Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at around 10:06 p.m.
This crash remains an ongoing investigation.
