Lifelong Dem voter admits TX statewide Republicans saved Austin from being destroyed
Ironically I was a funeral Monday and saw some family members I had not seen in years. My cousins daughter lives in Austin and works in tech. He boyfriend, who seems like a decent guy, told me he had move to Austin from NY where he grew up.
When I asked him what brought him to Austin he told that he wanted to live in a fun, liberal, city, but it had to be in a state that was controlled by Republicans to keep things sane. So it came down to Austin, Nashville, or Miami/Fort Lauderdale. I just smiled and didn’t take the conversation further.
I guess, if nothing else, it makes him a smarter lib.
